Fourteen subjects were assessed for effect skin health after receiving capsules of evening primrose oil containing 40 mg of gamma linolenic acid (GLA) per capsule twice per day.
All subjects reported improvements in skin health, with 42.8% subjects having complete improvement in skin health. (Yoon et al, 2002)
In a preliminary clinical trial with 68 women who had a history of PMS, 500 taken twice daily led to an overall positive effect on PMS scores, which were based on mood, mental well-being, comfort, and fluid retention.
Over 60% of the women who had poor success with PMS previously had a reported “good” response to EPO when compared to placebo. (Brush et al. 1984)
