Stop Using Cosmetics with Toxins and Hormone Disruptors
Just like we care about the quality of our food, we need to care about the products we put on our skin – shampoo, shower gel, soap, cosmetics, and skin care.

Two Easy Tips:
1) AVOID Synthetic Colors — They will be labeled as FD&C or D&C, like FD&C Red No. 6 / D&C Green No. 6.
Synthetic colors are suspected cancer-causing agents. If a cosmetic contains them, don’t use it.
2) AVOID “Fragrance” – The synthetic fragrances used in cosmetics can hide 50 – 300 toxic chemical ingredients. The ingredients label will simply say “Fragrance.”
Avoid “fragrance” at all cost. It is linked to headaches, dizziness, rash, respiratory issues, coughing, vomiting, and skin irritation. These chemicals are also considered hormone disruptors.
What does this mean?
Your body is absorbing chemicals that act like hormones.
They are linked to reproductive problems, infertility, metabolic issues, breast cancer, birth defects, diabetes, obesity and more.
We are tired of Greenwashing and Eco-Washing – labels that claim they are safe and natural when these products contain ingredients we need to always avoid!
Check your products ingredients now
Look for synthetic dyes and the word “fragrance” – You will be surprised.
Examples – of brands we thought we could trust:
Arbonne – Uses Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, PEG-10 Phytosterol, Butylene Glycol, synthetic dyes,
Beauty Counter – Uses synthetic dyes (red, yellow, blue) in their lipstick along with carnauba wax. They use dimethicone and cross polymers (basically plastic) in some cosmetics.
PUR – Uses synthetic dyes, copolymers and propylene glycol.
Perfectly Posh and ILIA Lipstick use synthetic dyes.
Dr Hauschka – uses Talc and synthetic fragrance in their blush.
…. Talc is linked to respiratory issues and cancer.
…. Synthetic fragrance is an endocrine disruptor.
Lip Sense has plenty of toxic ingredients including propylene glycol (anti-freeze), “fragrance” labeled parfum, copolymers (plastics).
Rodan + Fields – Uses Dimethicone, PEG-100 Stearate, Polysilicone-11, Butylene Glycol, Crosspolymer, Polyurethane-40, parabens, synthetic dyes, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Propylene Glycol and a boatload of other synthetic and harmful chemicals.
Check your ingredients – it matters.
What we put on our skin is absorbed into the bloodstream.
EWG.org says that fragrance is a catch-all term that means hidden hormone-disrupting phthalates.
Who can we trust?
You can get perfectly clean cosmetics without synthetic dye and synthetic fragrance or other toxic chemicals. Up until now, I could not find a cosmetic line that I could trust and recommend to my clients and readers.
