Fat? You’ve Been Lied To
Fat is where it’s at and you’ve been lied to.
If you are afraid to eat fat then you, like many Americans, have been sucked into the widely held, erroneous idea that all fat is bad and eating low-fat is good.
We are fat heads.
Our brain (60% fat) needs certain kinds of fats to work well.
Healthy fat is brain candy. Your brain will reward you and you’ll have better moods if you get this right.
Nora Gedgaudas, author, Primal Body, Primal Mind explains that the brain uses at least 20 – 30% of our body’s energy supply.
“Many people assume that the brain needs glucose for this energy, but few are aware that the brain actually prefers ketones, the energy units of fat, for its dominant source of fuel!” – Nora Gedgaudas
Did You Know?
“I believe that K2 is a ‘missing link’ that explains many of our modern ills. Here are a few more tidbits to whet your appetite: K2 may affect glucose control and insulin release.” Stephan Guyenet, PhD Neurobiology
Emily Deans, MD wrote,
“Please remember, fat+sugar = kiss your pancreas good-bye.
And unfortunately, ladies and gentleman, all those fast “food” joints serve up their industrial meat with special sauces loaded with sugar on sugary buns with sugar sprinkles, more or less, so the KFC Double Down is still not a good idea. However, there is no consistent medical literature to back the AHA Recommended Diet limiting fat consumption to 30% of calories daily.”
Delicious Options for Healthy Fat
Eat traditional fats, not odd low-fat junk made in a factory.
