How to Freeze Coconut Milk
Freezing canned coconut milk is easy.
Sometimes, after the can is opened we are unable to consume all of the coconut milk within a few days, and end up discarding the can.
Sometimes we want to make healthy, dairy-free ice cream RIGHT NOW!
Here is a simple way to be frugal and prepared.
I recommend using canned coconut milk and NOT coconut drink in cartons.

Purchase silicone candy molds or use small plastic containers.

I chose to freeze the canned coconut milk in 1/4 cup portions, for easy use in recipes.

Chocolate Ice cream from frozen coconut milk
- 1 can full fat coconut milk
- 1 cup Sunflower Seed Butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup raw cacao powder
- 1/2 tsp Real Salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
Step 1: Shake up a can of coconut milk (full fat) and pour into a silicon mold or ice cube tray. Freeze overnight.
Step 2: Blend ingredients together with the frozen coconut milk. This will take a lot of scraping, and patience. Try not to add additional liquid if possible.
Step 3: Spoon into bowls and serve.
