Beef Stew with Carrots, Celery, Onion, Garlic

Beef Stew Recipe




  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 Tbs crushed garlic
  • 3 Small Red Potatoes, cut in half or quarters
  • 1/2 tsp salt




  1. In a Dutch Oven, heat 2 Tbs Oil.
  2. Season beef with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper.
  3. Add beef stew meat to Dutch Oven and brown on all sides.
  4. Remove meat to a bowl.
  5. Add Onion, Celery, Carrots to Dutch Oven and cook 5 minutes
  6. Add garlic.
  7. Add more oil if needed.
  8. Add Rosemary, Thyme, Paprika, Chili Powder, Cayenne, 1/2 tsp Salt.
  9. Cook 1 minute.
  10. Add tomatoes, beef broth. Stir, heat 2 minutes.
  11. Add potatoes.
  12. Return meat to Dutch Oven with vegetables and broth.
  13. Cover and cook on low 1 hour.
  14. Remove lid and continue cooking on low for 45 minutes until meat and vegetables are tender.
